This time we’re gonna try a little less sweet and a little more green juice!
1 granny smith apple
3 cups of kale
3 cloves of garlic
As weird as it sounds I put in two leaves of my aloe plant. Aloe vera contains amino acids and vitamin c. It’s also great for blood purifying and body cleansing. Not to mention, it makes an adorable house plant!
All together this made about a 20 oz (very yummy) drink.

Like I said things have been HECTIC. Working three jobs and being a large part of my mother’s web blast for her site http://www.InsideandOutwoman.com is very time consuming. I love everything I’m a part of, but it is spreading me a little thin. Twice this week I showered and blow dried my hair, and then realized I didn’t rinse out my conditioner! Proceeding that, I showed up at the airport 24 hours early to pick up my roomie. I think this day to clear my head, was much needed and enjoyed!
The key to starting juicing is start with sweet juices and teach your self to like the raw taste. Slowly work into more tart but nutrient rich veggies. My trick to juice is anything taste good with 2 to 3 granny smith apples.
Today’s juice is a sweet one for beginners out there.
2 granny smith apples
2 cloves garlic
2 cups kale
a handful of cranberries
and 8 large carrots
I try to put kale in all of my juices because it is extremely rich is vitamins, minerals, and calcium. Garlic contains antiviral properties that boost your bodies immune system so this is good to add, especially when getting sick. Garlic has a very strong taste though so only add a little at a time. Cranberries are a natural anti inflammatory and also very good for the digestive system. Carrots and apples have less nutrients then the other ingredients, but still beneficial. They also make the juice taste like heaven
The end result from all those veggies? this awesome approximately 16 oz glass of juice.
A lot of veggies for 16 oz, I know. I try to get my juicing veggies from the farmer’s market. That saves me a ton of money! It’s much more affordable for purchasing how many veggies you need, and you get to support local and organic.
